Vacuums suck and so does Google.

Well, it seems our Google AdSense account has been closed and the money we made from clicking the banner ad has been returned to the advertisers. We apparently violated some rules Google has set for this whole AdSense program. We put up a banner and every time the banner was clicked we got about 2 cents. I didn’t read the rules too well and found out that those of us who publish on the site cannot click on the ads and we cannot encourage people to click on them. I know, we should have known that we couldn’t click our own banner and we couldn’t tell others to click it, it only makes sense, right?

I am now boycotting all things Google. If they think that someone who puts up their ads doesn’t click his own ad and tell everyone he knows to click it, then they are very naïve. I know their mission statement is to do good always or something like that. The only thing they did good in this case was cheated us good, right out of our hard earned $17.43.

Well, if we can’t encourage people to click on the banner ad, then DO NOT CLICK OUR BANNER AD!!!

DEATH TO GOOGLE!!!

Did they actually inform you of this?

That is the most HILARIOUS thing I have heard.

They did indeed, and here is the email.

Hello,

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s). We have therefore disabled your Google AdSense account. Please understand that this step was taken in an effort to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers.

A publisher's site may not have invalid clicks on any ad(s), including but not limited to clicks generated by:

- a publisher on his own web pages
- a publisher encouraging others to click on his ads
- automated clicking programs or any other deceptive software
- a publisher altering any portion of the ad code or changing the
layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason

Practices such as these are in violation of the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions and program polices, which can be viewed at:

https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms?hl=en_US
https://www.google.com/adsense/policies?hl=en_US

Publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not allowed further participation in AdSense and do not receive any further payment. The earnings on your account will be properly returned to the affected
advertisers.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

I may never make a good business person, but I thought advertisers would want people to click on their ads, no matter if they were told to do so or not. In fact, if I had not told everyone to click the ads then the ads would not have been clicked at all.

I think this is just a scam for Google to get clicks for it's advertisers without paying the sites that generate the ad clicks.

Google sucks and I will never click on another banner ad again.
