Cat dials 911 and saves owner's life.

Dateline: Columbus , Ohio

Tommy the cat dials 911 and saves his owner who has fallen and can't get up. According to the responding officer this indeed seems to be the case. Tommy's owner, who was wheel chair bound, fell out of his chair and couldn't get to the phone. He also was not wearing his medical alert necklace and could not reach a cord that alerted paramedics. The 911 operators received a call from the address but no one would answer them. The call ended and when operators called back they got no repsonse and decided to send someone to check things out.

Tommy's owner had been teaching the cat to dial 911 and to simplify things, because, well, he's a cat, the owner designated 911 to a speed dial button. When the cops arrived Tommy the cat was laying beside the phone. So much for Tim Bedore's animal conspiracy.
