Open Call for playlists.

I really like reading people's mp3 playlists and getting advice for a running playlist. So, here is my challenge: set me up with the perfect 40-60minute playlist for working out. I know piccu, Bratch and Travis will have strong suggestions. It can be all one album or a variety. Also, as I am new to the itunes downloading scene, what is the most cost-effective way to download.

Here is my current workout playlist.

Tool-Vicarious
Tool-Jambi
Black Sabbath-Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath-War Pigs
Black Sabbath-Into the Void
Black Sabbath-Snowblind
Black Sabbath-Sabbra Cadabra
Rob Zombie-Foxy Foxy
Eagles of Death Metal-Don't Speak (I Came to Make a Bang)
Eagles of Death Metal-I Like to Move in the Night

That is just about an hour, I have room for more and I plan to delete some of the Sabbath and add different songs. I guess I have the Metal Workout.

Pete Yorn- Life on a Chain
Chevelle- Comfortable Liar
Foo Fighters- Monkeywrench
Foo Fighters- My Hero
Foo Fighters- In Your Honor
Jimmie's Chicken Shack- High
Fuel- Down

I don't have time to do an exhaustive list, but those are some good tracks. It really depends on what kind of workout you're doing. If you're lifting go for the heavier stuff like. If you're just running and doing more aerobic exercises then temp is important. My stuff is pretty interchangable and it's got some variety to it.

Derb- Derb
Guns n' Roses- Welcome To The Jungle

Nine Inch Nails- Closer
Alice In Chains- Man In The Box
Godsmack- Bad religion
Godsmack- I F**king Hate You
Aerosmith- Just Push Play

That's all I can come up with right now...sorry

Best of You- Foo Fighters
Dimension- Wolfmother
Word Up!- Korn
Happy?- Mudvayne
Song With a Mission- The Sounds
Alive & Amplified- The Mooney Suzuki
It Don't Come Easy- Ringo Starr
Schism- Tool
Bakers Street- Foo Fighters
Jesus of Suburbia- Green Day
Cosmopolitan- Nine Black Alps

I've pretty much downloaded all of these off iTunes except for a few. But I'm pretty sure this would be a decent workout mix. Most all of it is pretty uptempo except for the Tool, but its Tool.

By the by, Jasper, I have the Nine Black Alps cd, but I never told you because you don't like contemporary music. If it ain't Neil Young or Joe Cocker you ain't listening.

I have added some songs to my workout mix.

Judas Priest-Freewheel Burning
Judas Priest-Delivering the Goods
Judas Priest-Screaming for Vengance
Tool-The Pot
Red Hot Chili Peppers-Readymade

The Chili Peppers song is one of the best songs I have heard this year. It rocks your face off and John Frusciante is the most underrated guitar hero of all time.

Big time agree on Alive and Amplified bratch. Good pick. Ditto for Best of You.

picc (can I call you picc "pronounced peach") I echo your sentiments on Frusciante. Great guitarist. Darn near killed himself with drugs, but great guitarist.

I'm adding some as well.
Fuel- Ozone (great track)
Staind- Mudshovel
Metallica- Whiskey in the Jar
Metallica- Astronomy
Prime STH- I'm Stupid
Prime STH- 24
Prime STH- Even the Score
Seven Channels- Circle
