Bonnaroo 2006 looks like a winner.

The biggest and best music festival in this neck of the woods is Bonnaroo located in Manchester, Tennessee. They have just announced their lineup for this year’s concert and there are some pretty good bands coming. Not good enough for me to go and spend three days on a farm, but pretty good for someone who likes to leave their house.

Here are the highlights and if you want more info click the link.

Beck
Radiohead
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Elvis Costello & the Impersonators
Bonnie Raitt
Death Cab for Cutie
Bright Eyes
Buddy Guy
Damien Marley
Robert Randolph and the Family Band
My Morning Jacket
Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder
Cat Power
Nickel Creek
Steve Earle
Blues Traveler
Son Volt
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

Looks like a pretty eclectic lineup to me. This will take place on June 16-18 and tickets are $169.50 for a three day pass for a limited time and then they will be $184.50 and there are various service charges and other junk. If this scratches you where you itch, check it out.

Nickel Creek and Son Volt are two of my favorite bands, but if you've ever seen some highlights from Bonnaroo, it's insane. Baby-Woodstock like. Just a mess. NO thanks.

I agree. There are some bands I would love to see, Tom Petty, Buddy Guy, Robert Randolph, but to go through the dirt and the funk. No spank you.

Now if it had more bands I was interested in, who knows. I survived Summer Sanitarium, though not three days, it was every bit of one day.
